At YvaMarie New York, we believe creating beautiful skincare also comes with a responsibility to make thoughtful choices about what we produce, how we package it, and what happens after the last use.
As a growing beauty brand, we know sustainability is an ongoing process—not a claim of perfection. Our approach is to make considered decisions where we can, provide clear information to our customers, and continue looking for ways to reduce unnecessary waste as our products and packaging evolve.
Packaging With Purpose
Skincare packaging has an important job: it must protect the integrity of the formula, preserve the product throughout its use, and provide a functional experience for the customer. We consider those needs alongside opportunities to make more responsible packaging choices.
Our packaging may include recyclable materials such as aluminum as well as plastic and mixed-material components that are not accepted by every recycling program. Rather than suggesting that every component is recyclable, we believe in helping you understand how to dispose of each piece as responsibly as possible.
Beautiful packaging should serve a purpose—and when it's finished, we want to help you make an informed choice about what comes next.
Reduce Waste Through Intentional Rituals
Our philosophy of beautifully uncomplicated skincare also influences how we think about consumption. YvaMarie routines are intentionally designed around products with a clear purpose, so building an effective ritual doesn't have to mean accumulating products you don't need.
From simplified day and night routines to targeted treatments, we encourage choosing skincare based on what your skin needs now, using each product consistently, and finishing what you have before replacing it.

How to Dispose of Your Packaging
Packaging materials vary across the YvaMarie collection, and recycling requirements can differ by municipality. Before placing any component in your recycling bin, check the packaging and your local recycling guidelines to confirm what is accepted in your area.
Bottle
Check the recycling symbol on your bottle. Packaging made with AS plastic may be identified under recycling code #7. Because acceptance of #7 plastics varies, check with your local recycling program before placing it in curbside recycling. If it isn't accepted locally, dispose of it according to your municipality's waste guidelines.
Aluminum Components
Where possible, separate aluminum caps, collars, bases, or other aluminum components from plastic components. Remove remaining product residue and check your local recycling requirements before placing aluminum components in your recycling bin.
Airless Pumps + Actuators
Airless pumps and actuators can contain multiple materials that are difficult to separate and may not be accepted through standard curbside recycling. Check your local program first. If mixed-material pumps aren't accepted, they should be disposed of according to your local waste guidelines.
Cartons + Paper Packaging
Where applicable, flatten clean paper cartons and recycle them according to your local paper and cardboard recycling guidelines. Packaging with significant product residue or non-paper components should be separated when possible.
