Our Story
Guided by the legacy of our founder’s Haitian heritage and her New York upbringing, YvaMarie New York was created at the intersection of nature, resilience, and timeless beauty.
Inspired by the wisdom of her grandmother Yva and mother Marie, two extraordinary Haitian women who embraced the healing power of botanicals, our skincare blends time-honored rituals with modern science.
A Legacy of Botanical Rituals
In the lush landscapes of Haiti, Yva grew up surrounded by nature’s abundance. She learned to cultivate and use powerful botanicals like aloe vera (lalwa), hibiscus (choublak), and bitter melon (asosi) to nourish and protect the skin.
In her home, beauty was a ritual, rooted in care, intention, and healing.
These traditions were passed down to her daughter Marie, who carried them forward through her own rituals, ensuring that this wisdom lived on through generations.
From Heritage to Modern Skin Needs
Through these moments, Marsha Guerrier developed a deep understanding of the connection between nature, self-care, and resilience.
Growing up in New York City, she experienced a fast-paced, high-stress environment, far removed from the grounding traditions of her heritage. As hormonal changes and environmental stress began to impact her skin, she searched for solutions that honored both worlds.
The Creation of YvaMarie
That search became the foundation of YvaMarie New York.
With a vision to combine Haitian botanical wisdom with science-backed innovation, Marsha created a line of skincare designed to support women through every phase of life.
More Than Skincare
At YvaMarie New York, skincare is more than a routine, it’s a ritual rooted in legacy and self-love.

This is more than skincare.
This is heritage reimagined, for skin that evolves with you.

How to Dispose of Your Packaging
We’ve designed our packaging with recyclability in mind, and we encourage you to dispose of each component responsibly.
Step-by-Step Disposal Guide:
1. Bottle:
- Check with your local recycling facility to see if they accept AS plastic (recycling code #7).
- If not recyclable in your area, dispose of in general waste.
2. Cap, Base, Collar & Shoulder:
- Separate the aluminum components from the plastic where possible.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove any product residue.
- Place in your curbside recycling bin (aluminum is widely recyclable).
3. Actuator/Airless Pump:
- Unfortunately, due to its mixed material composition, the actuator is not typically recyclable. Dispose of this component in general waste.
